Daddy Issues EP release party w/ T0W3RS (Raleigh), Totally Slow (Greensboro), Free Clinic (Wilmington)
“We want to celebrate Valentine’s Day with you at our EP RELEASE SHOW! We are so psyched to announce that our debut EP, Double Loser, is coming out on cassette/digital via Negative Fun Records and Egghunt Records on 2/14! It’s like one big Valentine’s date with all your best friends. Come for the music, stay for the feels, grip a copy of our new cassette, and see some of the best bands in NC. It’s the most romantic thing to do on V-Day. CHECK IT OUT!
T0W3RS (Raleigh)
“For the uninitiated, T0W3RS sounds a little like the alt-J singer joining STRFKR to cover LCD Soundsystem. Check out TL;DR‘s blend of slick vocals, shimmering guitars, and tight beats…” – Entertainment Weekly
“Raleigh, NC’s Derek Torres takes the brightest parts of synth pop and twists them into self-deprecating nuggets of alone-on-the-dance-floor anthems.” – CMJ
“T0W3RS has harnessed the perfect infusion of indie and electro with a crisper, more intuitive sound, lyrical depth, and none of the fluff that sometimes taints indie music.” – Culture Collide

FREE CLINIC (Wilmington)
Dreamy garage pop trio that will capture your heart. You’ll leave the show with their songs stuck in your heads for weeks. They turn hard feelings into beautiful pop tunes, and you get the feeling that they’ve lived beyond their young years. They have a new album coming out pretty soon! We totally love them!

TOTALLY SLOW
Greensboro’s reigning surf punk king dudes! They’re “heavily influenced by 60’s surf music and 80s skatecore” and they released a 7″ late last year on Self Aware Records (NC)! New split 7″ coming soon from Save Your Generation Records (MI)!

DADDY ISSUES
There’s no pretense to Greensboro, NC, four piece Daddy Issues; no unrequited fantasy from afar. These are girls having fun. For each member, this is their first band, though they’ve already been dubbed “a perfect, shining moment of girl-group surf pop” by Stewart Bremner of Product Magazine (UK) and “rock goddesses” by Morgan Y. Evans of New Noise Magazine. Jordan Green of Triad City Beat wrote that they “suggested the Velvet Underground stripped of ennui.”
Several releases arrive in the near future. UK-based Punk Fox Records will release a 7” single in the early months of 2015, and their debut EP will be released on Feb. 14. With a New York debut at the end of January, a confirmed show with La Luz in March, plans to travel to SXSW, and an extensive summer tour in the works, Daddy Issues is bursting into 2015 with a fierce momentum.
